She provides positive, supportive and educational care, empowering patients to make informed decisions and develop the confidence needed to achieve their health goals. Kellie has particular interests in diabetes management, chronic disease management, health education and preventative healthcare. Through practical coaching, goal setting and evidence-based advice, she works closely with patients to improve long-term health outcomes and support sustainable lifestyle changes. About Kellie Spooner RN
Kellie Spooner is an experienced Practice Nurse who is passionate about helping patients better understand their health and empowering them to make positive lifestyle changes. After graduating from the University of South Australia in 1994, Kellie spent the first decade of her nursing career at Flinders Medical Centre before expanding her expertise through a range of clinical, educational and healthcare leadership roles. Throughout her career, she has worked across diverse healthcare settings including diabetes care, radiotherapy and education, developing a strong appreciation for the role knowledge and understanding play in achieving better health outcomes. Kellie has completed postgraduate qualifications in Diabetes Management and Education, allowing her to provide specialised support for patients living with diabetes and other chronic health conditions. She has a particular passion for helping people understand their health conditions, navigate lifestyle changes and develop practical strategies to improve their long-term wellbeing. She also enjoys supporting children and their families as they work towards healthier futures. Outside of nursing, Kellie enjoys spending time with family, gardening, bonsai and continually challenging herself — including currently working towards achieving her black belt in karate.
