About Dr Claire Dobson
Dr Claire Dobson brings a unique blend of educational and medical experience to her role as a General Practitioner. Before pursuing a career in medicine, Claire worked as a Maths and Science Teacher across both private and public schools, developing a strong appreciation for the role education plays in shaping lifelong outcomes. After completing a Bachelor of Education and a Masters of Education in Computing, Claire made the decision to pursue medicine and graduated from Flinders University. She joined Windsor Village Medical Centre in 2006 and obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2008. Claire has a particular passion for women’s health, children’s health and preventative care. She believes that informed patients are empowered patients and places a strong focus on education, communication and preventative healthcare within her consultations. As a Practice Principal, Claire remains committed to ongoing professional development, embracing innovation and ensuring patients benefit from modern, evidence-based healthcare. Outside of medicine, Claire enjoys spending time with her family and values the important role physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices play in overall wellbeing.
